North Dakota Student Registration Form

Is the student age 14 or 15?(Required)
If you are 16 or older, Behind the Wheel is no longer required. Do you want to do the waiver program, or just Behind the Wheel training and then take the test at the DMV?
In North Dakota, you must have 6 hours behind the wheel training and hold the permit for a full year. There is another option: Are you interested in the waiver option?(Required)
Choose one:(Required)
In ND, students aged 14-15 must have 6 hours of behind the wheel training, and hold their permit for one full year in order to road test at the DMV. Once 16, the students need only hold the permit for 6 months before eligible to road test (no btw training required). ND also has a Waiver Option. This option (for ND residents ages 15 and up) includes a 30 hour asynchronous classroom course along with 6 hours of behind the wheel. The class and the driving can happen simultaneously, but be sure to complete the online before the last lesson. At the end of the last lesson, the instructor will give a skill test (similar to the DMV road test). If the skill test is passed, the instructor may issue a Certificate of Completion that can be exchanged for a driver's license at the DMV. If the skill test is not passed, the instructor will give a Certificate of Training. Further testing would be done at the DMV. The waiver option is not a guarantee. Students will be required to improve learning targets pointed out by the instructor between each lesson.
